Love is incarnate

Love doesn't work from far away, love isn't distant. Love demands incarnation. It demands to live what others live, to feel what they feel, to become one of them, so we can show them love - help them, serve them.

Go to some poor country, and tell people you wanna help them. They'll tell you : oh, you come from your rich country and you want to help us for some time, and then you'll leave. They all leave. You don't even bring your wife and kids here, because you know this is a shit hole. You build a school and tell us to send our kids there, but you wouldn't send yours there. You tell us to try to live here and that better days will come, you give us food and speak hopeful words, but tomorrow you're gone, because there is no hope.

So you need to go and live there for the rest of your life. You need to bring your wife and kids with you - even if that means they could get killed, raped, kidnapped and drug-forced into sex slavery or child soldier gangs. You need to go and live as a local, so that people know you're here to stay, to show them love. Love demands everything you have to give, it demands your life - not to give, but to dedicate.
